The Magical Paper Theatre (TMPT) is a family-run puppet theatre company which was founded in 2021 during the lockdown period. We were inspired by Victorian-era toy theatres and built our original model. Our first production is the world-renowned Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi and we have been having performances in amazing venues across London and Oxford since July 2021.

We have made our theatre's mini crankie version. You may wonder what a crankie is. It is a very old art form of storytelling. In the 19th Century, they were called moving panoramas. As the story goes, you turn the handles to change the scenes.

Here are our crankie theatre's features:

- It is a limited edition and there are only 35 crankie theatre boxes available.
- They are all handmade & products of meticulous craftsmanship.
- They are made of wood.
- There are 36 original illustrations that we also use in our original Pinocchio production.
- It includes the QR code for the soundtrack of the original play which was recorded by professional actors

This unfortunately arrived bent nearly in half. Perhaps the packaging could be a bit sturdier/more stiff. But otherwise it’s lovely — would still recommend!
